The window period for a fifth generation HIV test is the same as for a fourth generation HIV test. (Actually, there is some controversy among experts whether to even call this a fifth generation test since it does not shorten the window period. Some experts would rather call this another fourth generation test.)
For both fourth and fifth generation HIV tests, a single test at 6 weeks is accurate and no further testing is needed.
There is no real difference between a lab based fingerprick test and blood from a vein, as long as they are both fourth or fifth generation tests.
That is fine. The day of collection is the day that matters.
You do not need to repeat the test.
