Is it true that the trapezius muscle is a long muscle and is related to the lyrynx, pharynx and Sternocleidomastoid muscle via never xi (accessory nerve.

If the pain is on swallowing, this is more likely secondary to some of the muscles involved with swallowing. Therefore were you have strained your back, it becomes inflamed, and movement can aggravate it.

If you have back pain after eating, not swallowing, but after eating, then this suggests you could have gastritis or an ulcer.

This pain would radiate straight through but also cause pain at the front.
