Thank you for Just Answer
I am sorry to hear that you have a flare up. Have you previously been told not to use anti inflammatory medication?
Okay so the other option is Colchicine. This however would require a prescription from a doctor local to you
This is taken over 3 days and is very effective for gout, however it can cause diarrhoea
Colchicine shouldn’t be taken more than 3 days at a time, it is not a long standing drug
I see, yet finishing them has led to a recurrence?
Okay, what is your question then please? What you are taking is the only option other than reducing your urate levels for which you already take allopurinol
Given what you are taking there is nothing more to directly treat the gout. You could however try cocodamol in addition which may help.
Lower dose coco sample is often available from a pharmacy at 8/500 which may help
Yes, in England I know for sure, I would assume Belfast is the same
That is my pleasure, all the best
