My 7 year old daughter has had tics for over 5 months and now gotten much worse. She shouts, clears throat and tenses/ moves her whole body every 30 seconds.
JA: How severe is this?
Customer: Quite
JA: Is there anything else the Doctor should know before I connect you? Rest assured that they'll be able to help you.
Customer: She has had mild tics come and go since she was 3 but this is the worst. Its starting to affect her speech also
Customer: replied 5 days ago.
my question is, would this be classed as taurettes now ? How damaging is this to her body / throat?
Is there anything i can do to help her? I have tried everything and nothing seems to help , she does it from the moment she opens her eyes in the morning till she falls asleep.
Would you recommend an MRI? Blood checks?
Is this likely to go away ?
Is there any chance that the forceps used to pull her out when i gave birth have damaged a nerve ?
It cant be genes as no one in our family have had tics or taurettes

Do you recommend i continue sending her to school or have her stay at home untill its treated? Shes happy within herself and enjoys school. But im scared that her being there puts her under stress which can make it worse

send her to school for sure

Customer: replied 5 days ago.
Do you have any tips on how i can help her at home, its causing a lot of stress on everyone in the house as its very loud and constant

I would just try to keep her relaxes as much as possible
