Hi. I’m Dr. Mark. I’m a board certified physician and happy to assist you with this concern.  Give me a few minutes to respond. Thanks.

Expert:  Dr. Mark replied 14 days ago.

Bacteria and STDs are very rarely spread from bathrooms and toilets.  The organisms don’t survive long outside of the body.  And if you washed your hands when you were finished then I see no need for concern. Ok?

Do you have any additional questions or need clarification?

Customer: replied 14 days ago.
I mean I sat in the seat then sat in my car ; and obviously when fabric rubs against fabric the fabrics are unsettled and float in the air , would this be a source of transmission if inhaled xx
Expert:  Dr. Mark replied 14 days ago.

That’s a very unlikely possibility. I would not be concerned.

Customer: replied 14 days ago.
I’m not at higher risk of cancer ?
Expert:  Dr. Mark replied 14 days ago.
Absolutely not.

Expert:  Dr. Mark replied 14 days ago.

I would not be worried. You washed after the toilet so there’s no worries. Mycoplasma can’t live on dry clothes.

Customer: replied 14 days ago.
It lives for 2 days tho doesn’t it
Expert:  Dr. Mark replied 14 days ago.

Not when it’s dried out.  You need not worry.

Customer: replied 14 days ago.
How long when dry then
Customer: replied 14 days ago.
What about on skin
Expert:  Dr. Mark replied 14 days ago.

It doesn’t live on skin.

Customer: replied 14 days ago.
Ok so am I 100% safe or do I need to disinfect my car and stuff xx
Customer: replied 14 days ago.
Cos I sat in my car and got out and the fibres that could have it on it off the seat and clothes will of lifted in the air and settled again and then they could be inhaled
Expert:  Dr. Mark replied 14 days ago.
