Ask a Doctor and Get an Answer to Your Medical Question ASAP
Hi! I am Dr Saleem. Welcome to JA.Thank you for the question. I will be answering your query shortly.
May I know your age please? Do you have any other chronic health condition?
How long have you had the symptoms?
Do the symptoms come and go?
Any problems with vision?
Can you try to look at the ceiling without moving your head and see if your eyes get tired easily?
Have you seen a doctor for an examination?
What do the doctors say you have?
So did they offer any treatment for anxiety or refer you to a psychiatrist?
If they think it's anxiety then you should either be referred to a psychiatrist or prescribed pharmacological therapy. The diagnosis of Myasthenia is clinical with some help from lab markers/antibodies. You may get your acetylcholine receptor antibodies and anti MUSK antibodies checked privately if you still think it could be myasthenia so that you can have your peace of mind at least.
That's the best I can tell with information at hand. Please let me know if you have any other queries.
