I have a chest infection, yellow sputum, very dry cough, feel clammy and tired. Do I need antibiotics? Thanks for your help
JA: How long have you been dealing with the cough? Are you having any other symptoms?
Customer: since Wednesday it’s not covid as have done a test

49, male, no underlying conditions, I haven’t started any treatment other than paracetamol and fluids

feel clammy but haven’t taken temperature
OK. I would suggest to start an antibiotic plz . Preferably Coamoxiclav or Azithromycin for 5 days. This will need a prescription from a walk in center or the A&E.  

In addition please start tab cetrizine 10mg once a day and syryup Broncho stop thrice a day.

Continue the paracetamol.

If no improvement after 48 hrs of treatment,  please see the GP
