The answer is no.  Having elevated cholesterol for a year or so will not cause atherosclerosis.  That’s the medical term for clogged arteries.  We look at LDL cholesterol and Apo A and Apo B.  These types of cholesterol have to be elevated for many many years to clog the arteries.
