Customer Question

I have an ML320 CDI. I bought a lighting board for when I carry bikes on the tow bar but the lights aren't working this time. Could a fuse have blown in my car? I have checked the lights on the board and they are all fine.

Hello and Welcome to justanswer..

My name is MIKE, Im happy to help you with this...

In the rear / load area - behind the right hand trim -is a fuse board...

You need to check the relevant fuses for your trailer socket - and they are fuse numbers - 70 ,( 15 or 20 amp - ) 71 ( 30 amp ) and 72. ( 15 amp )

If they are indeed all ok - then there is a single relay that covers all of the wiring there - that is relay #8 on the same fuse board -- pretty much central on the board.

I suspect it will be one or the other causing your issues - it usually is - but if not, then the actual wiring will need to be checked for bad conenctions etc in the socket.

Let me know if you need anything more on this at all -
