I'm afraid that specialist diagnostic equipment is required for a job such as this.

You will need to have the car checked on Mercedes STAR diagnostic tool at a Mercedes dealer or specialist to see if any codes are stored.

Some issues on these systems can be cured with the latest software updates installed & if no fault codes are stored then I would be looking at checking all the telematics systems (COMAND, Telephone, TV, Audio etc which all run on a fibre optic network called MOST) to see if any updates are required. Again, Mercedes STAR diagnostic tool is needed to check & update this.

All control units on the MOST network will need to be checked for good communication with STAR - any one of the modules can induce faults in other systems.

Let me know if you need anything else.

Best regards, Paul
