I have a 2002 mercedes sprinter that loses power when I press the button in the middles of the heating control. if I stop van and un press the button & restart van it goes back to normal performance. what do you think the problem, is it turbo?

I think you're describing the AC ( airconditioning) button

so if by switching this on loses power then its likely that there's a problem with the AC compressor

I'd suggest removing the pump drive belt and turning the pump over by hand its should have points where the load to turn increases steadily and smoothly as its internal pistons are compressing the gas

but it shouldn't be tight to turn so if you're needing a spanner on the front of it to turn then the AC pump / compressor should be replaced

The van does not have air con, i think it is the button to circulate air
