Hi,

This could be down to many things & the first step in finding the problem is to have a diagnostic check carried out using Mercedes STAR or a similar diagnostic tool to see what fault codes are stored.

The most common problem for the system shutting down is one or more of the sensors in the bumpers has failed & will need replacing.

A check on a diagnostic tool will confirm this & will also pinpoint which sensors require replacement if this is the case.
