2004 C220CDI with a turbo that cuts out

Customer Question

I have a 54 plate (2004) C220CDI with a turbo that cuts out. Initially, I thought it was when the car had been on cruise control at high speeds and the cruise was deactivated, but it happened again yesterday with no cruise, high speed does seem to be a constant, and after a fair few miles. Switching off and restarting always solves the problem, albeit it comes back again. A previous mechanic blamed poor fuel - certainly not an issue since then - while my current mechanic (we moved a while ago) changed the DPF pressure sensor in Jan and the intercooler in April. Any ideas what the problem is and how it can be resolved?
