Customer Question

Thinking of buying a 2002 CL600(m137 engine)19000mls and full MB service history are they all problematic!
OIL COOLER problems, ABC problems etc etc.
OR are the forums full of high mileage/poorly maintained issues?
Any advice would be appreciated - this car is being supplied by an Indepedant Mervcedes dealer with new MOT (no advisories) and a full `B` service.

Stan :

the 6-liter engines are the most complicated in the MB engine lines to diagnose, repair and maintain. Even perfectly maintained car can have the misfire isssues due to very expencive causes like coilpacks, ignition control modules, oil leakage into engine management components. I recommend to stay away from this engine. 55AMG much more reliable, with similar power output.
