2006 W221 S500. Rear suspension on bumpstops. Airmatic Malfunction showing on dash. Any ideas
Usually this is caused by failed air compressor. When you start the engine, it should also start running. It is worth to check the fuses as well, but i would need the VIN of your car to give you correct fuse assignment.
Once the compressor is running, Airmatic fault codes will need to be deleted with Xentry DIagnostics computer to unlock the system from emergency cut-out. Some independent MB shops have this tool besides the dealers.
Once compressor is running- all of the air bellows will have to be checked for leaks.
