MR 1 5326 error code and MR 1 5226 are on most of the time

Customer Question

MR 1 5326 error code and MR 1 5226 are on most of the time (unless going downhill). The wagon (Atego 2001) runs fine, no misfiring. Had it to Mercedes, Who agreed the wagon drove perfectly. I know this is a Fuel pump warning light for cylinders 2 and 3. Had the cylinders swapped and the code remained the same. So confident not genuine. Had the EMS (light also on when this comes up) reconditioned and still on then we got it back. Sent the EMS back to be rechecked and all good. The recommended replacing all the terminals to it. All done. Driven around for 6 Months like this with no issues but coming up to plating. Any ideas on how to resolve? Cost £1700 so far! Will it fail plating with it on?
Assistant: Just to clarify, what are the exact lights you're talking about?
Customer: The codes are on the dash board display and a red EMS light
Assistant: What is the model of your '01 Mercedes?
Customer: Atego (see earlier)
Assistant: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: See above, Mercedes garage and a local Mechanic looked at it and tried the above
Assistant: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: All wiring has been checked, crank sender has also been replaced

My name is ***** ***** I am a professional here at Just Answer. I noticed that your question had not received a response and thought I would see if you still need help with this.I apologize for the delay and I hope I can still assist you with this here.My info is somewhat limited on your model here but I had seen no one else has responded and would like to see if I can help here.If at any time you feel that I cannot help with this please let me know.

If you know the wiring is good for the injectors and you swapped injectors and the issue remained this may be a fault internally in the computer itself. The computer can fail internally causing this issue here with it needing to be replaced.I would have the wiring and connections double checked on the injectors and engine harness just to make sure no issues are found. This will need to be tested further to see if the computer needs replaced.

If more help is needed, use the reply tab to continue our conversation. If no further assistance is needed, kindly rate my service, your 5-star rating is appreciated ( should be a link to click on here or above). You can rate at any time and we can continue to work on your question as this will not close out your question.I work on delivering the best answer and help here but in some cases, it can be difficult to do without seeing the vehicle.

Thanks Pete

Nothing you have said is any different to what I have already listed as having tried.

Had the computer reconditioned (twice) so not that - not satisfied with the response as only repeats what I have already said.

I will open your question up for others here to see if someone else can assist further on this as there may be others here that may have more info on what to check or do with this issue.I hope you can get this resolved with ease.No need to reply to my last post here unless it is a last resort as it will keep your question locked to me and others will not be able to view it.If you feel you want to continue to work with me on this feel free to reply at any time but keep in mind in some cases it can be difficult to fully diagnose or help repair this without seeing your vehicle.

Thanks Pete
