I have downloaded windows 11 for windows 7 for x64 based system

Customer Question

I have downloaded windows 11 for windows 7 for x64 based system but I cannot install it. Microsoft keeps trying to install it and has failed twenty or thirty times.

Windows 11 is not an actual product.

Do you mean Office 2013?

If not, can you tell me the exact program you are trying to install please?

Microsoft defender etc wants to install window 11 for windows 7 for x64 based system. Microsoft has tried to install it, so have I and failed numerous times. Can you help ? and is it important. All the other downloads are always successfully installed

There can be a number of reasons Moya, and we will start with the most common

I want you to first install the latest .net Framework from my link below please

Once installed, restart the computer and then try to install Internet Explorer 11 from here please

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/download-ie

I have tried what you suggested and the installation will not work. It has failed three times today as Microsoft also keep trying to install. The installation is for Internet Explorer windows 11 for windows 7 X64 based system. Error 9c47 KB9478212. Would be grateful of help.

Press the windows Key + R and type in MSCONFIG and press enter.

Click on the Startup Tab and click Disable All.

Click on the Services Tab and click "Hide All Microsoft Services"

Then click Disable All

Click ok, restart and then try to install.
