This answer was rated:

Since my computer crashed I'm trying to install Microsoft Office Prof.Ed.2003. After inserting product key I get to a window with message "waiting for cabinets to be cached to local installation source" then nothing. What now?

Hello and thank you for your question today. My name is Jason. I look forward to helping you today.

May I ask how long you have waited after the "waiting for cabinets..." message appears?

Also, does the message window stay on screen or does it vanish?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Stayed in screen about half and hour and message stays on screen

Thank you for the update.

How do I get a short cut on my desktop

Are you referring to shortcuts for Microsoft Office?

- Click the Start button > All Programs > Microsoft Office
- Right click Microsoft Word, Excel, or Powerpoint, choose "Send to" > Desktop.

That will do just as you wish.
