Hi, for some time now its been taking ages, to get into internet

Hi, for some time now it's been taking ages, to get into internet explorer and now I find I cannot sign into Skype. However , if I start my laptop in the "safe" mode I can log in very quickly, so presumably there is a program which is jamming everything. Any assistance would be appreciated.

I'm using laptop running windows 7

Click Start, type in MSCONFIG and press enter.

Click on the Startup Tab and click Disable All.

Click on the Services Tab and click "Hide All Microsoft Services"

Then click Disable All

Click ok, restart and let me know if it then operates correctly please

got to my talktalk home page much faster but still unable to sign in to Skype

Whats the error you get when you try to sign into Skype?

No error message. Just says "signing in" and the buffer symbol just goes on and on

ok, can you uninstall Skype Ian.

Click start, Control Panel, Programs, Uninstall a Program.

Click on Skype then click on uninstall

Restart the computer and then install it from my link below.

Then tell me please if you can sign in.

Let me know the results please

I'm afraid the problem still exists; I can only sign in to Skype if I run my pc in "safe mode with networking"

about a week ago, just after I installed a new Cannon printer. I deleted the Cannon program, but it didn't have any effect

ok, I want you to do a system restore please

Click start, and type in

system restore

press enter

Follow the onscreen steps and perform a restore from a date before this problem started.

Let it complete and when it has, tell me if you can now sign into skype please Ian.
