I had a call from Windows who say that my Microsoft Authentication licence has expired and my computer is open to Trojan etc is this correct. They tell me this has to be renewed either 2 yearly / 10 yearly or lifetime at a cost.
Hello! Thank you for your question. I am a licensed computer professional with over ten years of experience, and I will be assisting you today.

I'm sorry about the issue. This is a scam. No support company or Microsoft would ever call you for any computer support (you would call them first if you need computer support.) This is a scam in order to get your money. You should always ignore any phone call that you do not know or are not expecting. Microsoft has written an article about phone scams at the website below:

I recommend to click Start->all programs->accessories->system tools->system restore and restore the computer to any date before this issue has occurred, then wait until it finishes/restarts.

Also, I recommend to change your important passwords, such as email password.

Please let me know. Thank you.
