I have written a quick basic program on windows 7. I changed to widows 10. What do I need to run my program on Windows 10 please?

For QuickBasic to work on Windows 10, you will need DOSBox, apparently.

Here's the site to get both working

On that site, steer clear of everything that says 'download' except the gray button, with the DOWNLOAD legend in blue, near the center of the page. That will download the needed 'stuff' to run a QBasic program on Windows 10. It even says it is tested on Windows 10, so that's quite promising.

Apologies for late response owing to being away from home.
I have tried the website you suggested and downloaded a zipped file reference number msdos_(2).zip
Opening this file resulted in an advert for a file viewer
This is not what I expected so now I am stuck

What file viewer did it ask for, or, a file viewer for what type of file?

Perhaps that's just the README file it needed a viewer for?
