I am unable to use my Outlook e-mail address unless I go into my Microsoft account via Google. For the past couple of weeks I have been receiving messages stating that there is a server error for my Outlook e-mails, both receiving and sending e-mails. I also have another e-mail account - ntlworld, and messages sent to this e-mail address appear both in ntl and also in Outlook,. Help please!

ok, What I want you to do is in windows live mail, click on File, Accounts and remove the account there.

Once done, add the account but choose Other

Then select iMap

For the incoming server use these settings

Server name:
Port: 993
Encryption method: SSL

And for the outgoing server use

Server name:
Port: 587
Encryption method: TLS

You will see port settings, when you click on more settings, then advance.

Then make sure on the outgoing server settings (under more settings) you choose to use authentication and use the same settings as the incoming server

It should then add correctly and allow you to use it

I can also do these steps for you, and have made a request via Additional Services.
