Hello,

My name is David.

What is the name of your email service provider?

Also, what is the name of the email program you use, such as a web browser like Chrome, or a program like Apple Mail, Windows Mail or Thunderbird?

Ok thanks.

Do the following to fix the Outlook performance issues if using Outlook 2016:

Compact PST

Start Outlook 2016 by clicking the Windows Start button then click Outlook, or click the Outlook icon on your Desktop.
Click File.
Click the dropdown arrow next to Account Settings.
Click Account Settings.
Click the Data Files tab near the top of the window.
Double-click the PST file.
Click Compact Now.
Click OK when the process has finished.

Update Outlook

Start Outlook 2016 by clicking the Windows Start button then click Outlook, or click the Outlook icon on your Desktop.
Click File.
Click Office Account.
Click the dropdown arrow next to Update Options.
Click Update Now and and update will download if available.
Follow the prompts to complete the update.

Then test to see if the issue is resolved.

I can't see a file option or any of the other steps you suggest. Sorry! All I have is a series of folders in my inbox. That's it.

Please provide the version of Outlook you are using.

You can post a picture of your Outlook here if that would be easier.
