The pound sign on my keyboard; Caps over the 3 sign now

the pound sign on my keyboard; Caps over the 3 sign now comes up as # instead of British pound as it has done until recently. How do I rectify this?
Assistant: What application are you using?
Customer: Windows 10 Office professional I believe
Assistant: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: I install all updates as they come
Assistant: Anything else you want the Microsoft Office Expert to know before I connect you?

Hi there and welcome

Please do the following

Click the Start Start menu and select Settings.
Select Time & language.
Click Region & language in the left column.
Select Add a language.
Choose the UK language

Then delete the US Language

This should then correct it
