I was asked to enter my Windows Password, which I could not

I was asked to enter my Windows Password, which I could not remember ever having. I did, however, find a way into Windows Security and entered my email and then pressed forgotten password. Subsequently I created a new password, but it has asked me to give it one last time but it tells it’s incorrect. I know it isn’t. Please help I’ve been at this for hours.
JA: Are you logged into your email account on any other devices?
Customer: why?
JA: Do you have security questions or a phone number on file to help reset your password?
Customer: I don’t know. I do have an iPhone number but not sure if it’s on file. My iPad and computer allow me to receive emails.

Customer: I just want to sort out a new password ***** Windows as I have been requested. It’s driving me nuts.
