2006 L200, need to replace prop shaft rubber mount/bearing.

Customer Question

2006 L200,
need to replace prop shaft rubber mount/bearing. to get the prop shaft apart in order to slide the mounting off it looks like i need to dismantle the middle universal joint so I can get to a large end nut. UV joints usually held together with circlips but cant see any on this one. How is best to do it?

There are two types of universal joints Mitsubishi uses on these shafts. The standard circlip style that you are familiar with that has the circlips snapped into the ends of the flanges, and then another style that uses a snap ring on the inboard side of the flanges. Remove the snap ring from the inboard side of each flange ear and then you can press the joint out.
