Customer Question

compression readings lower with WOT ok so here goes - with the throttle closed I am getting 132 psi reading as a good constant over each cylinder. however with the throttle wide open I am getting 95 psi. the engine is a recently rebuilt gsx1100. and I was assured that it has had new crank along with wiesco pistons fitted after rebore.. was also told that valves were either reground or reseated depending what was necessary. however the bike came back with some small issues. I wonder - could the cams be one tooth out perhaps causing wrong valve timing ? a head scratcher for sure. for some reason this has been put in car category not motorbike as I clicked. hmmmmm
