Bike died out in a ride and I have VDS fault code on dash,

Customer Question

Bike died out in a ride and I have VDS fault code on dash
JA: Just to clarify, what's the exact code? And have you tried to reset it?
Customer: VDS with an exclamation Mark and I’m guessing the way to reset it is to turn ignition off and on?
JA: What is the model/year of your BMW?
Customer: BMW S1000RR 2012
JA: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes I’m going to fix it myself. So far I have just brought the bike home and have tried to turn the ignition on and off a few times. With the VDS code the bike now will not turn over and just makes a strange clicking noise
JA: Is there anything else the Mechanic should know before I connect you? Rest assured that they'll be able to help you.
Customer: No that’s all so far
