Hi Dr.Bob, This is about a young 29 year old boy.He was alright two months ago and walking.Now in December he became bit careless of cold and one day he suddenly felt weakness in mid January.After not covering well during cold in winter.Eversince his lower limb weak and he is bed ridden.His upperlimbs index finger and thumb of both hands extremely weak and he cannot straghten his hands. It's a big mental trauma such young man bed ridden.But since the cause of this is careless ness in cold.Therefore is there any one percent hope for him to get back to walking mode.Any physical measure, or drug or diet that could help him recover.Please give consultation

I would suggest he see a neurologist if he hasn't seen one already. If this is a post-infectious myelopathy, or a related autoimmune disorder, he may need intravenous steroids.
