Customer Question

I have been feeling really 'foggy' and tired today. I fell downstairs a week ago and banged my head, however was checked out and had mild concussion. I do suffer from anxiety and wondering if how I'm feeling is due to that?

Hi Marilyn. Sorry to hear you are not feeling well. If you are suffering from new onset headaches, or any other new neurological symptoms since your fall, you should be re-evaluated. Sometimes a head injury will check out OK initially but then worsen later due to an intracranial bleed. If your only symptoms is brain fog and you have had this before, then anxiety or depression could be the cause. This would be particularly true if you are not sleeping well at night or otherwise not getting enough rest. Similarly, if you are not eating a balanced diet or not drinking enough fluids, you could get a little lightheaded or foggy. Be sure you are taking good care of yourself, and follow up with your primary doctor if you feel you are not improving with rest, or if new symptoms arise.
