I hurt my lower back piriformis muscle in2014 in an accident at work I've noticed I get numbness in my lower back buttocks now if I sit in a certain way is it anything I need to be worried about?

not normal at all.

I suggest you need an MRI of the lower back.

There probably are disc problems.
