Customer Question

I have basal ganglia calcification and bad headaches but I am told there is nothing wrong with me. How do I go about getting a review on my diagnosis.
Assistant: Is the headache episodic or daily? And what about nausea?
Customer: Daily at the moment... I had a very bad spate of vomiting just under a year ago but nausea is intermittent
Assistant: Anything else in your medical history you think the Doctor should know?
Customer: I have heart irregularities put right by Bisoprolol Fumerate

Hello -

Basal ganglia calcification is considered "normal" -- meaning that enough people develop it as we get older, that it is considered a normal variant when seen on a CT or MRI.

It would have nothing to do with any neurologic symptoms.

It is just a sign that the patient is likely over 60 years old.
