I have a 2010 Pathfinder it uses oil 300 to 500 mils every 5,000 klm since new nissia have no answers and warrenty will run out soon. it has no oil leaks
can you help pls

I am an Electrical fittewr mechanic and give out advise regular so as you cannot advise me I guess you are refunding my money in good faith and I will look else where to find a solution

Hi .

You are using 1/3 to 1/2 litre every 5000Miles is that correct .

on a highway run say aprox from Sydney to QLD I used 500mil 1/2 litre for 4500klm = 2700 miles

Just above normal , suggest you check your PCV valve as this is a common issue for engines burning oil at this rate .

Have you noticed a smoking exhaust at start up .
or when you accelerate hard ,if not check this then get back to me ,
In the mean time check the PCV valve this could be the main problem that they are having in Hollywood.
