good morning i purchased a 2008 navara which had a dualmass flywheel and clutch fitted in december 2014 by a nissan dealership, unfortunately the dual mass flywheel has failed after doing less than 1500 miles, the flywheel which was fitted is made by lucas is there a better one i should have refitted or should i fit a solid flywheel conversion
regards damian
Jake :

The dual mass flywheels, whether OEM or aftermarket are REALLY hit or miss. Seems some people have no issues at all but MANY people have failures at ridiculously low mileage which you experienced.

Jake :

it seems the overall consensus is that the solid mass flywheel conversion is the way to go. Most dealers I know are recommending the customer to do the same on early failures.
