I am thinking of buying a secodn hand Nissan Micra whcih will soon need the alternator belt repalced. How much is teh average costs(parts adn labout) of changeing a alternator belt e.g using independent mecanic?

Hi..there.. Depends what engine you have..the majority of drive belts/alternator belts especially so on these cars i wouldnt see you paying anymore than £20 for the belt..fitting? well again depends on the experiance/labor rate per hour the mechanic your using - having said they should be able to replace the belt failry easily within half an hour..not a hard job at all.. so maybe max £45-£50 maybe..
