Hi I am day 10 of my menstrual cycle and I have started to lightly spot. I have had a polyp in the past and I am up to date with my smear test. This is the first month I have had this problem...and I gave birth to my daughter 16 months ago. Should I be concerned?
Hello, The spotting can be due to ovulation bleeding. Ovulation can sometimes cause spotting or brownish discharge , usually as a form of mild withdrawal bleeding. It will clear up spontaneously in about 2-3 days. The polyp may may also cause ovulation bleeding to occur more frequently. This is not a cause for concern.
