Hello. Since Feb this year, I have lost over 100 pounds and have been doing 1.5 hours of exercises every day. In the last couple 6 months, since the diet my period was all over the place ( getting longer), and is now over 10 days late. I was having some brown spotting - what I ussumed blood- when I wiped 2 days ago, and have been having my usual symptoms, but there is no period in sights still. I am certainly not pregnant and have done "fertility test" strip (measuring FSH) and it was negative ( the second line did not even develop. So my FSH was not high) and LH line did not develop on the other test too .
Could you pls suggest herbs I can take to regulate my cycle as I do not want to take contraceptive ( have never taken them) ?
When I was overweight ( BMI over 40) my cycles were around 31 days (on average). Now my BMI is 23. Caloric intake: 1100-1300 cal per day. Berries, veggies and wild salmon only. Weigh loss rate: .5 lbs per day. Thanks
Your late period is most likely due to not ovulating, which is fairly common during weight loss.I don't believe there are any herbs that will really help. Some progesterone pills will help to bring on your period and clear up the spotting.Once your weight has stabilized, your ovulation will most likely resume.I would recommend seeing your doctor for some progesterone pills to bring on your period.Congratulations on your weight loss!
