Hello I have been taking Yasmin. It is effective as far as birth control is concerned but I find that it makes my period very irregular. I had my period 2 weeks ago. Last Friday I took the pill 30 minutes later than usual and since Saturday I have had my period. Very light but consistent.
I am frustrated as I feel as if I have little control over my body. Advice would be much appreciated.
How long have you been taking Yasmin?Do you miss any pills? Thank you.

Hello, no I do not miss any pills. I have been on the pill for several months now. Since the summer.

A little bit of extra information:I am 30 years old. Weight roughly 52 kilos and am 156cm. I am very active (run 6days a week).
I eat fairly healthy aside from an inclination towards chocolate :)
Usually the birth control pill is the best thing we know of to cause periods to be regular. Since it's not working for you, I would recommend changing to a different pill. What you're having is called breakthrough bleeding, meaning bleeding while taking the active pills. It's common when women first start on the pill, but then usually disappears.Since it's happening now after many months on the pill, it's usually best to change pills There are many different pills will small differences in the type and amount of hormones. Usually one can be found on which you won't have any unusual bleeding.

okay. thank you. can you recommend one? I have read about different types but I am afraid to change as they all seem to have different side effects.
They can all have different side effects, but for most women, the pill today usually had few or no side effects.Lo/Ovral has been one pill that usually will resolve breakthrough bleeding.
