I have apparently been diagnosed with PCOS. They did a scan

Customer Question

I have apparently been diagnosed with PCOS. They did a scan and said one ovary looked a little larger than the other but saw no cysts. I have excess hair and thin hair on head. Also periods are a disaster. So therefore they diagnosed PCOS. Not sure how this can be as seen as they never saw any cysts.
Anyway today I come home to a letter from My GP with a leaflet telling me of my increase risk of diabetes, cancer, high blood pressure and heart disease. I am in shock. Is this all true? I am obese and my dad has diabetes so I know I am more at risk. So does this mean this is my future?
