Customer Question

I was just wondering what foods are unsafe to eat while pregnant? I have heard rumours of staying away from cream cheese and deli foods and to not eat much tuna due to the murcury in it but other than that I am quite clueless to what foods are good to eat during pregnancy and what foods to avoid
Thanks *****

Foods to avoid are above.

Unpasteurized cheese and blue cheese should be avoided Cream cheese is fine.

Lunch meat from a deli should be microwaved or avoided due to risk of listeria contamination. Tuna should be limited to 2 servings a week

If you are receiving prenatal care you should not be clueless as to your diet as every clinic or Dr will hand out guidelines If you still need help, ask to be referred to a dietician.
