I've lost a pregnancy 3 years ago, and since then my period

Customer Question

Hi ! I've lost a pregnancy 3 years ago, and since then my period is irregular. It's very hard to see a doctor these times due to the virus situation. I and my husband we are trying for a baby but no success. I've had my blood tests done 2 weeks ago and no information from my go. my period is already late for 30 days, my 1st day of the period was July 2nd and nothing since. I don't have any pains or symptoms. What should I do?
JA: Apologies for the personal questions, but are you using any contraceptives? When did your last period begin?
Customer: I've never used contraceptives my last period begin on july 2nd
JA: Got it. When was your last smear test, and what were the results? Any swelling, discoloration, or unusual smells?
Customer: I've had my last smear test about 4 years ago, and no problems
JA: Thank you so much for your time. Finally, is there anything else in your medical history you think the Doctor should know?
Customer: my next appointment is on October 4th for a smear test

I just want to know what should I do until I see a doctor? My period was never that late
Customer: replied 16 days ago.
I'm trying to see my GP since the middle of august
Expert:  Anthony Osula replied 16 days ago.

Ok, you can take the pill to induce your periods

You need further tests such as pelvic scan also, and blood tests for hormones

Customer: replied 16 days ago.
Ok, thank you
I will try to find a private clinic for pelvic scans and blood tests for hormones. It takes too long with the GP
Expert:  Anthony Osula replied 16 days ago.

Yes it does indeed

These are blood tests you need - FBC, Thyroid, LSH, FSH, Prolactin, Progesterone

Customer: replied 16 days ago.
Thank you!
Do you think it is a good idea to take pills to induce my period? what pills should I take?
Expert:  Anthony Osula replied 16 days ago.

It depends some women prefer to know whats happening with their body first, there is no right or wrong

There are non-contraceptive pills such as Norethisterone you can take for like five days and then you bleed afterwards. They're usually used to stop heavy bleeding or to delay periods.

Or contraceptive pills you take for 12 days, then 7 day break where you have a period, this is the preferable option as this regulates your hormones but women trying for pregnancy do not like this option

Thank you! I will try to get in touch with my doctor and maybe I can see him sooner than my appointment
