This is Dr. David

this could be spotting from menstral bleeding or even ovulation in the middle of your cycle can cause spotting. you say you are not sexually active.

when was your last menstral cycle? was it normal?

do you have regular menstral cycles?

have you ever had a gyn examination?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.
My last menstrual cycle was about 3 weeks ago. It is usually regular but the last one was rather erratic. I had spotting one week earlier and my period only started a week after that. I have never had Gynae examination before.

sounds like the spotting was right before your irregular menstrual period.

since you are not sexually active, this rules out lots of things such as sexually transmitted disease and pregnancy.

if you have been exercising more, or dieting, this can affect your hormones and cause your menstrual cycles to be more irregular. and spotting some right before your period is normal as well.

are you worried about this spotting being a sign of cancer?

at your age, spotting like this would not be a sign of cancer.
