My husband is having a colonoscopy on Wednesday after receiving an abnormal result in Bowel cancer screening test. HE has always previously had normal results . They are done as routine tests every 2 years after age 60. As preparation 2 days before colonoscopy he has been told to have low residue diet to eat things like boiled potato fish poultry no fruit and veg. he has followed this but without thinking i sprinkled fish with lemon juice for cooking Will this matter.? what is the likelihood also that something would be wrong within 2 years of normal result. As i said in a previous question the doctor recently diagnosed a small bleeding pile
This is Dr. Davida little lemon juice will not matter.does he have visible blood in his stool?most likely his colonoscopy will be normal or possibly show mild bleeding hemorrhoids or possibly a bleeding polyp.most likely the bleeding pile or bleeding hemorrhoid is causing some blood in his stool which is turning positive his screening stool blood test.he should be fine.make sure he drinks plenty of fluids when he does his colonoscopy prep in 2 days.let me know if you have other questions.if done for now, please leave positive rating above the chat box so I can get credit for helping you todaywe only get credit for helping clients after positive feedbackyou can always reach me with "a question for Dr. David" in the medicine or oncology categories if you have any other questionshere is my website if you need to reach me again: for using
