I had a CT guided lung biopsy 14/09/20 it was 17mm 3 months ago it is now 25mm it is popcornish in shape and solid with a couple of small black bits what are the odds of this being cancerous
JA: Are you keeping a personal medical record while dealing with this?
Customer: No
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the Doctor should know?
Customer: I had pulmonary embolisms and pleaurosy in the past

Size and growth of the nodule may predict the chance of cancer but please remember it is all statistics, which in an individual scenario may not be very specific. The chance of a lung nodule of above 20 mm with a growth of 8 mm in 3 months has a chance of cancer of about 25%.

While this is not a low chance and can be scary but one has to remember that there is a 75% chance that it may be benign.
