Customer Question

My daughter is 2. She developed a sty on her eye about 2 months ago, it was red and inflamed but did not weep discharge. I cleaned it and the doctor gave me drops to put in. It isn't inflamed or very red anymore but I can still see the small lump under her skin. Some days more than others.

Thanks for using just answer

What she has now is a chalazion or mebomian cyst.

A stye usually develops into a cyst which is under the skin of the eye

This would go eventually, and can take months, but you can speed up the process with using regular warm compresses to help dissolve the contents of the cyst.
