Customer: temperature was 39,5 at 2am in the morning, then came down to 38.2 by 2:45am after a dose of ibuprofen, we were also given half dose paracetamol and the temperature was 37.5 at 9am, went up to 39.4 again around noon, came down to 38.1 after full dose of paracetamol, now again 39.5

We have also done a COVID test this morning, but no results yet

Thanks for using just answer

Your child is age 1, with cough and weakness

A covid test is recommended to ensure this is not covid

As fever is up and down, I'll recommend getting your child checled out tomorrow

Thank you, ***** ***** conducted the test, but no results yet

Continue with fluids, steaming, Vitamin C, honey and lemon, keep eye on the temperature and see how he goes

We have already given him 1 dose of ibuprofen and 2 doses of paracetamol, he has a temperature of 39,5 now and sleeps, would you recommend giving another dose of paracetamol?

Paracetamol is given 4hrs after the last paracetamol dose, or 2hrs after the last ibuprofen dose

Customer: replied 7 days ago.
Understood, it’s been more than 4 hours from the last paracetamol dose, would it be ok to repeat that since it’s going to be his third dose since 2am today

Would you recommend waking him up for that or allow to sleep with high fever?

Allow him to sleep, as the body tends to try and reset itself while at rest

Unless you have planned for him to nap for a speciific period of time, and its time to wake him up then you can wake him up
