Sorry for the late reply and inconvenience.

Thanks for all this additional information.

I understand your concern.

And it’s my first privilege to pay attention and provide you with explanations and suggestions to relieve your discomfort/ worry.

In 90% of cases, children aren’t growing because they’re not consuming enough calories. This can happen when a child isn’t interested in eating due to a variety of reasons.

It can also happen with toddlers who are active and otherwise well but who are less interested in eating.

However, Problems with the digestive system can prevent a child from gaining weight.

Conditions like gastroesophageal reflux (GER), chronic diarrhea, and celiac disease can make it harder for kids to absorb enough nutrients and calories to gain weight.
Food intolerance means the body is sensitive to some foods.

As he is suffering from diarrhea for the last few weeks so it's not normal and he needs to be seen by a pediatrician for a clinical examination for further evaluation and management.

Now, I would recommend some self-care measures and you can follow them to get some relief.

Hydrate with plenty of fluids and an Oral rehydration solution (Pedialyte).
Also, give him Culturelle probiotics.
Continue to eat easy-to-digest food like soup or BRAT diet (bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast).

spacing out meals to make sure children are hungry
avoiding "empty" calories like juices and candies

A pediatric dietitian can help you find ways to add the needed calories to your child’s diet—and suggest behavior changes to ensure your child receives the nutrition they need to thrive.

Hope I have been able to clarify the situation for you and helped in resolving your query.

Let me know if you have any further queries so we can discuss it thoroughly in every aspect.

It’s my pleasure to continue this conversation until you satisfy.

Waiting for your response.
