My son was born at 31 weeks. He is 34 months now but is not talking properly. Is this normal and how can I help him develop his speech?

He was in neonatal care for 5 weeks after he was born. No medical care after that. He is not using any medicines.

So first of all did he have assessment by lady health visitor

she was it was ok. But he only says single words no sentences. Some words like dad he can't say, but can say dog.
