The following measures are helpful to treat high-grade fever in a 15 months old;

1) Medications; Ibuprofen (Motrin) or Acetaminophen (Tylenol)

2) Sponge bath with lukewarm water

3) Light clothing and lightweight sheet to cover the child; overdressing can raise the fever by preventing heat to escape.

4) Plenty of fluid prevents dehydration

We've done all this but the temperature won't drop. Bear in mind that my toddler tested positive to covid

Fever of Covid and all the other infections are managed in the same way.

You can give Ibuprofen if you have not tried it.

If that too is not effective, he would require injectable/shots for reducing the fever. You may need to go to the emergency room.
