Thank you Matt. Peugeot are trying to charge me £950 for a part that two of your recommended outfits (I called them) say they can sell for between £80 and £95. However, Peugeot only gave me their internal stock plan number "P1607956180" but what I actually need is the part number itself (possibly beginning with "96...") so that the other vendors can identify it precisely. Peugeot say they'd have to "strip down the car", at a hefty price of course, to find the number stamped on the side of the unit but I'm not so sure. Can you suggest how I might obtain the part number either through Peugeot (perhaps their parts inventory software should match stock plan numbers to actual part numbers) or otherwise - easy to access the number anyway perhaps?
Many thanks

sorry to say that the model number of the ABS unit isn't recorded anywhere, the only way to be sure is to remove the unit to pull the model number off the side

however to be honest there's very little difference between units and providing you get one with the same electrical plug and hydraulic ports then you will be fine
